Discovery Tour - One Day

Discover the unique attractions of the east and west coast of the Coromandel Peninsula in one full day. Depending on your point of pick-up, Thames, Whitianga or Tairua townships the route will be planned accordingly, to include the majority of the highlights listed:

	Scenic Drive through rainforest across the Coromandel Ranges
	View Waiau Falls crashing over a rock face into pristine pool - swim under the falls (optional)
	Walk an easy 10 minutes bush track (DOC board walks) into a majestic 600 year old Kauri grove
	View Castle Rock rising from above the bush line
	Ride the narrow gauge mountain railway at Driving Creek up to the "Eyeful Tower" (1 hour round trip) - superb views, replanted Kauri forest. Driving Creek Potteries offering unique art.
	Coromandel Town - steeped in pioneering history. Craft shops and cafes - relax and enjoy.
	Cathedral Cove View Marine Reserve and natural rock arch (tide depending)
	Hot Water Beach - world famous for its bubbling hot springs - soak in a natural spa pool in the sand at low tide (optional)
	Tairua - a small seaside resort. Paku Hill dominates the harbour, the lookout is well worth the time. Spreading native Pohutukawa trees (NZ's Christmas tree) flowers spectacularly over November/December.
	Follow the Highway route through an ancient volcanic crater and the bridge track back over the Coromandel Ranges - or
	Travel the coastal road from Coromandel Town passing through many bays, to Thames township.

Escape Tour - Two Days

All the unique attractions from the one day Tour (Discovery Tour) plus:

	An overnight stay in the Whitianga area Pick up Auckland, Hamilton or Tauranga
	Choice of experiencing:
	Rapaura Watergardens: - created from scrub and pasture - now internationally renown for its beauty. A leisurely walk through native bush brings you to the cascading waterfalls - the "Seven stairs to heaven". Cafe & shop. or
	Whitianga - seaside resort - water canals, main commercial centre of the east coast. Fishing charters and scenic cruises are some activities this area is renown for

	Walk on golden sand beaches - swim in the Pacific Ocean (optional)
	Travel Options across the Coromandel ranges - dependent on pick-up and drop-off points - the tour will be planned accordingly.

Explorer Tour - Four days or more

All the unique attractions from the one and two day tours plus:

	More time to enjoy each attraction and possible additional activities to suit your interests - tramping, kayaking, diving, scenic cruises or fishing charters
	Tour choice of relaxing at one or more of the coromandel coastal or rural communities on the way around - choose accommodation with a budget to suit you.
	For the 4 days or more option we try to offer a selection of accommodation styles/locality - click here to view. When booking indicate your preferred choice.
	All accommodation is within easy walking distance to Shops, Resturants and the Wharf.
	Stay for a time that suits you and we will design your programme to ensure your stay on the Coromandel is relaxing. Pick-up and drop-off points/time may be coordinated with one or two day programme.
