Hi, I’m Wendy and I thought you may want to know a little of who we are at Coromandel Tours. After we married, Dave and I decided that the Coromandel had what we were looking for, that carefree unspoilt feel, so we settled firstly at Tairua, then later at Wheuakite, clearing the land and milling the timber for our buildings and fences.

During the winter months I work also for a NZ iconic company, marketing NZ Kiwifruit, Zespri International, and Dave has an Architectural Design Business , Oceanhouse Plans.

The summer months are a time to enjoy the many activities. Our son Leighton does his schooling by correspondence and is a surf lifeguard at Hot Water Beach. We were also commercial beekeepers for a number of years.

We keep a variety of domestic animals and have native birds such as the kiwi, kereru, tui and bellbird in the bush which boundaries our land alongside the Parakau river and we are fortunate to have two swimming holes only a short walk from our house. We often host visitors in our home, where you can swim in the river, or use the spa, enjoy NZ wine with your meal, or we can arrange accommodation at a location of your choice. We offer a relaxed,”stop wherever you want” personalised guide through a beautiful part of our country and hope the experience leaves with you, enduring memories of the New Zealand way of life.
